Installation Engineer (M/F/D)

Roles and Responsibilities:

As an integral part of the KSE equipment installation team, you will contribute to projects involving the installation and commissioning of Kokusai semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites in Ireland and worldwide.

  • Maintain a safe working environment and strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and all policies.
  • Report on schedule performance and take action to resolve any delays, or issues.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair any issues that occur.
  • Interface with customers and projects managers to ensure flawless execution.

Skills and Experience that we are looking for:

  • Level 7 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • Comfortable working on complex electro-mechanical equipment in a cleanroom manufacturing environment, good manual dexterity with a high focus on safety and quality.
  • Aptitude to work with electro-mechanical schematics and ladder logic.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work independently as well as the team environment.
  • Previous experience of installing or maintaining vertical diffusion furnaces or other semiconductor equipment would be a distinct advantage.
  • Good PC skills, with experience of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Fluent in English with a valid work permit for Ireland & EU countries, essential.
  • Willing to travel up to 70% of the year.

Quality Assurance Specialist (M/F/D)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain KSE’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Oversee the implementation of the QMS and clarify stakeholder responsibilities.
  • Manage KSE’s document control to meet the requirements of ISO9001.
  • Interpret and comply with any quality assurance standards.
  • Drive and encourage continuous improvement (Kaizen) processes and operations among all KSE Service and SP&L group personnel.
  • Conduct internal audits and take corrective and preventive action.
  • Develop and maintain the database of Maintenance procedures and I/Q SOP’s.
  • Plan, perform and oversee inspections of KSE direct suppliers.
  • Analyse and publish audit outcomes and recommend appropriate corrective procedures.
  • Lead customer quality grievance and other non-compliance issues.
  • Drive the investigation of customer quality claims (SCAR etc) and use 8D Root Cause Analysis to contain the issue and drive the corrective action/process improvement to prevent any reassurance.
  • Conduct quality Post-Mortem and document and share lessons learned.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the provision of KSE’s services (Field Service,
  • Technical Support, Training and SP&L).
  • Oversee any improvement actions and report them to management.
  • Generate a quarterly report on results of all quality activities.
  • Liaise with the Toyama factory on quality matters and drive customer failure analysis (FA) requests to quick and satisfactory resolution.

Skills and Experience that we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science Discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
  • Good knowledge of materials and parts assemblies and ability to interpret technical
  • drawings.
  • Certification, such as Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Six Sigma, or Quality Improvement
  • Associate desirable.
  • Strong computer literacy, including experience with databases and Microsoft Office.
  • Good Knowledge of QA terms, tools, problem solving and SPC.
  • Excellent numerical skills and a good understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.

Health & Safety Officer (M/F/D)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and amend the company’s EHS safety policy documentation and ensure all employees R&U the document and are made aware of any changes.
  • Manage the daily aspects of health and safety for all KSE employees.
  • Point of contact for KSE employee concerns or queries in relation to occupational health, safety, and ergonomics issues.
  • Regularly audit company PPE, harnesses, ladders and lifting equipment and ensure they are compliant, safe to use and are fit for purpose.
  • Ensure implementation of EU OSHA and/or national ESH legislative requirements.
  • Mentor and advise employees on all aspects of health, safety and environmental rules and regulations.
  • Maintain employee records of customer specific safety class completion (where required) and prompt employees when re-certification is required.
  • Conduct office safety and ergonomic audits and make preventative recommendations.
  • Ensure KSE office building safety regulations are being adhered to with regards to fire safety and environmental and signage regulation and legislation.
  • Conduct customer site safety and environmental audits prior to tool installations.
  • Perform risk assessments and make recommendation for any non-standard work.
  • Report on any lessons learned from safety incidents within the World-Wide KE Organisation.
  • Support injury/accident/incident investigations and use root cause analysis techniques to determine the cause.
  • Prepare a monthly safety report for KSE senior management.
  • Recommend KSE safety classes, based on job type and train all employees on office ergonomic best practice.
  • Foster an Injury Free Culture within KSE.

Skills and Experience that we are looking for:

  • Third level Qualification in and Engineering or Science Discipline.
  • A 3rd Level Qualification in Health and Safety not essential but would need to be attained
  • within an agreed timeframe.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Passionate about occupational health and safety with a good knowledge of current environmental health and safety legislation.
  • Proactive, assertive, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Good communicator with ability to conduct training classes on health and safety.
